In total, 26 students from the Sixth District received nominations to the following academies: 11 students received a nomination to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point, 15 students received a nomination to attend the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, 11 students received a nomination to attend the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, and 3 students received a nomination to attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.\n\n\u201cHelping identify and nominate future generations of leadership in our nation\u2019s military is one of the most incredible privileges of my job in Congress,\u201d McBath said. \u201cI am so proud of each student who received a nomination, and I am grateful to their families, their teachers, and their community mentors for preparing them to be successful in their pursuit of a career in military service. Congratulations to these 26 young people who have courageously chosen to serve our country in such an honorable way.\u201d\n\nAll students who received a nomination from McBath\u2019s office must now be selected by the service academy for a formal appointment to attend in the fall of 2026.
