The competition was open to all high school students within California's Fourth Congressional District. The winners are:\n\n1st Place Winner:\n\nAlana Mosca\n\nSouth Tahoe High School\n\nTitle of Entry: \"Barefoot Beauty\"\n\nAlana's winning piece is a photograph of footprints in the sand with waves slowly crashing on shore. Alana's artwork will be sent to Washington D.C. where it will be displayed in the Cannon Tunnel -- the major walkway connecting the Cannon House Office Building with the U.S. Capitol.\n\n2nd Place Winner:\n\nGisela Renteria\n\nSouth Tahoe High School\n\nTitle of Entry: \"Folklorica\"\n\n3rd Place Winner:\n\nChristopher James Garrett\n\nSouth Tahoe High School\n\nTitle of Entry: \"Falls\"\n\nHonorable Mention is awarded to: Petr Colwell, Nick Knowles and Casey Willitts of South Tahoe High School.\n\nJudging took place at PlacerArts in Auburn under the direction of Angela Tahti. The judges for the 2011 Competition were: Claudia Draper, El Dorado County Arts Council; Elgin Cannon, Lassen County Arts Council; B.J.
