The resolution also emphasizes the importance of inclusion and celebrates the contributions to the arts, science, healthcare, technology, sports, education, and law made by people with disabilities.\n\n\u201cAmericans with disabilities make extraordinary contributions to our communities every day,\u201d said Congresswoman McCollum. \u201cBut as the disability community celebrates these contributions every July, the federal government has yet to formally acknowledge Disability Pride Month. With this resolution, we\u2019re uplifting the accomplishments of a vibrant community while acknowledging there is more work to be done to increase accessibility, enhance visibility, and expand disability rights.\u201d\n\n\u201cAt Gillette Children\u2019s, an integral part of our daily work is to advocate for the rights of individuals, especially children, living with a disability.
