McDowell", "M001240", "mcdowell.house.gov", "mcdowell", "https://mcdowell.house.gov/media/press-releases", "scraper", "KANNAPOLIS, N.C. \u2013 Congressman Addison McDowell today hosted faith, family, education and community leaders for an important discussion in Kannapolis, bringing local voices directly into the conversation on some of the most important issues facing families.\n\nThe discussion focused on parental rights and education, religious liberty, life and pro-family policies, and protecting kids online.\n\nThe \u201cValues Roundtable\u201d marks the third issue-focused roundtable McDowell has led, following his Prosecuting the Poison roundtable focused on fentanyl and drug trafficking and his Agriculture Roundtable focused on the needs of North Carolina farmers and the agriculture industry.\n\n\u201cToday I heard directly from parents, pastors and community leaders about the challenges facing our families,\u201d said Congressman McDowell. \u201cWe discussed issues that are near and dear to my heart - like protecting children from online predators and making sure parents always have a say in their kid\u2019s education. I\u2019m extremely thankful for everyone who joined the conversation.
