(January 20, 2026) \u2013 Today, Congressman Morgan McGarvey (KY-03) joined his colleagues in a letter to House Committee on Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, demanding the Committee immediately start investigation hearings into Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem\u2019s unlawful and potentially impeachable actions.\n\nA House Committee investigation would be the first step in an impeachment process after McGarvey signed onto three articles of impeachment against Noem last week.\n\n\u201cUnder Secretary Kristi Noem\u2019s leadership, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has done irreversible harm to our constituents, trampling the rights of all people and disregarding the rule of law,\" the letter states. \"Secretary Noem has established a clear pattern of lawless behavior, mirrored in the behavior of rank-and-file members of her leadership team and enforcement agents.
