McGarvey. \u201cKentuckians have not had access to a safe and legal abortion for one year \u2014 you have to be close to death for doctors to consider an abortion. It\u2019s abhorrent. And banning abortions isn\u2019t the end, it\u2019s just the beginning; extremist politicians have made it clear that more legislative attacks against women\u2019s bodies are on the horizon. This is a dark day for Kentucky, but I believe there\u2019s a light at the end of the tunnel. I\u2019ll continue fighting for every woman\u2019s right to have a safe and legal abortion, to receive quality reproductive health care, and for every single woman to make her own choices with her doctor and no one else.
