And in their budget, the Republicans make their moral code clear: the rich get richer, and the rest of us pay for it.\n\nThere is no reason a teacher in Louisville, Kentucky should pay more in taxes than Tesla did last year.\n\nKentuckians, let\u2019s talk about how this budget will hurt you.\n\nThis budget mandates at least $880 billion of cuts to Medicaid.\n\n$230 billion of cuts to take meals away from seniors, veterans, and kids.\n\nAnd at least $330 billion of cuts to our public schools.\n\nLet me make this clear for those of you watching from Kentucky.\n\nIf you are one of the 1.4 million people in the Commonwealth who gets health insurance through kynect, Republicans are coming for your health care.\n\nIf you have a kid in JCPS, Republicans are coming after their education \u2013 fewer teachers, fewer opportunities, and no more free school lunch.\n\nIf you are one of our veterans, or our seniors, or the one in five Kentucky kids going hungry as we speak, Republicans want to take away your next meal.\n\nIt\u2019s wrong.\n\nI met with over a thousand of my constituents this weekend. They\u2019re angry. I\u2019m angry too.\n\nBecause this budget hurts people.\n\nAnd for what?
