McKinley, P.E voted to pay federal employees who have been working during the shutdown. This will ensure employees who are on the job now will get paid on time, said Rep. McKinley. Federal employees across the First District are worried about paying their bills during the government shutdown. Federal workers didn't ask for this shutdown, added McKinley. They should not be pawns in a political disagreement. It's not fair to punish them for a situation they did not create. Since the government shutdown began, the House has passed 11 funding bills to reopen vital functions and priorities of the government but they continue to sit on Harry Reid's desk, said McKinley.
