Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) issued the following statement today after the House passed H.R. 647, the bipartisan Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act, which allows individuals with disabilities to save for their futures through the creation of tax-free savings accounts.\n\u201cTonight the House spoke for millions of Americans with disabilities.\u00a0We spoke to give them a better life; to provide them with greater opportunities; and to empower them to reach their full potential.\u00a0 As the mom of a seven-year old son with Down syndrome, today my heart is full \u2013 because I know firsthand how federal policies can limit the opportunities for those with disabilities.
