And of course last week we welcomed the leadership of our new Speaker, Paul Ryan.\nThe United States is the greatest experiment in self-governance the world has ever known. And as we move forward, we must ask ourselves: How do we make this place work more effectively on behalf of the American people?\nIt starts by rebuilding trust in our ability to do the Peoples work.\nWith a judicial branch legislating from the bench, and an executive branch passing its own rules and regulations without a vote of the people, Americans have a right to be concerned.\nAnd they are.\nThe House of Representatives is, by design, the body closest to the people. We are the most accountable, and we must be the most transparent.
