Mark Meadows\u2019 (R-NC) office delivered the district Christmas tree to Secretary Sonny Perdue at the USDA on Thursday morning. The Christmas tree\u2014grown on Buck\u2019s Tree Farm in Mitchell County, owned by constituent Rodney Buchanan\u2014will be displayed at the agency throughout this Christmas season.\n\u201cWhat an honor for one of our district\u2019s very own products to be displayed at the USDA this Christmas,\u201d Rep. Meadows said. \u201cWhen you mention some of the best farmers in the country, you have to start with Western North Carolinians\u2014and Rodney Buchanan is one of them. His efforts with Buck\u2019s Tree Farm in Bakersville have been such an asset to not only Mitchell County, but to my office personally over the years. This is a well-deserved recognition of his top-notch dedication and service, and I\u2019m glad we were able to play even a small role in the delivery. I also want to thank Secretary Sonny Perdue for the outstanding job he\u2019s doing, and for helping make this event happen.
