Meadows Statement on President Trump's Executive Order Against Anti-Semitism\r\nWashington, D.C. Today, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) praised President Trump's executive order taking action against anti-Semitism in the United States. The executive order adopts the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of anti-Semitism and provides important tools to protect American Jews being targeted by anti-Semitism.\r\nMeadows released the following statement on the order:\r\nToday, President Trump signed an executive order taking a new step to better protect Jewish Americans from anti-Semitic discrimination. This executive order clarifies that whenever anti-Semitic discrimination is based on race, color or national origin, Title VI anti-discrimination protections must apply. Anti-Semitism anywhere is unacceptable, and new steps to prevent it are unfortunately needed. I am glad to know that President Trump takes this very real issue to heart, and I am proud that our government is taking action to fight something so depraved. Anti-Semitism endangers millions of Americans, and we can never be complacent in our fight against it.\r\nIt should be noted that some reporting has suggested the executive order defines Judaism as a nationality. This is false. The order doesn't even define Judaism at all. Whenever anti-Semitic discrimination is based on race, color or national origin, Title VI protections should apply, and the executive order does so.\r\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://meadows.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=3099"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.6205650754272938, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
