This pro-life legislation establishes federal penalties for the intentional administration of any abortion-inducing drug to a woman without her informed consent.\n\n\u201cI am against abortion in most cases, but it is unconscionable to even consider tricking a woman into killing her unborn baby,\u201d said Rep. Messmer. \u201cThe federal government must unequivocally declare that underhandedly administering an abortion-inducing drug is murder and will not be tolerated. Those shameful perpetrators must face the full force of the law!\u201d\n\nBACKGROUND:\n\nThe Forced Abortion Prevention and Accountability Act establishes federal penalties for the intentional administration of abortion-inducing drugs without a woman\u2019s informed consent.\n\nIf the non-consensual administration results in serious bodily injury, the offender will face enhanced dual penalties. The bill also penalizes those who attempt or conspire to commit the offense.
