While Democrats put politics over the American people, House Republicans never stopped fighting for them.

“Our focus remains exactly where it has always been: delivering real results for the American people. I, along with my Republican colleagues, will continue advancing the priorities the American people sent us here to address, including:

Completing full-year appropriations in a responsible, timely manner

Making life more affordable for working families

More regulatory reform to strengthen our economy and ensure continued growth

Ensuring our borders remain secure

Encouraging responsible, American energy production

Working with the Small Business Administration to clear the backlog of small business loans and ensure the resources are in place to support entrepreneurs

Advancing key Financial Services Committee work — including support for community banks, responsible regulatory reform, and improved oversight

Protecting Americans through anti-fraud and anti-scam initiatives and legislation

Ensuring every American feels the relief of our historic Working Families Tax Cuts legislation

“The American people deserve a government that functions and a Congress that leads with common sense. With this unnecessary shutdown behind us, House Republicans will continue doing what we’ve been doing all along — working hard, staying focused, and delivering results for the American people.”

###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-06T19:52:45Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://meuser.house.gov/media/press-releases/meuser-supports-legislation-finally-end-government-shutdown
