Commenting on his support, Congressman Mike Bishop \u2013 Michigan\u2019s Republican member of the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee \u2013 issued the following statement:\n\u201cBold, transformational tax reform is about giving hardworking Americans of all walks of life the confidence they need to make their dreams a reality. I\u2019ve seen it work in Michigan, and we can absolutely do it at a national level. It\u2019s about letting you keep more of what you earned, and freeing up capital so local job creators can hire more of our neighbors, increase wages, and truly compete at a global level again.\n\u201cThe Tax Cuts and Jobs Act accomplishes this by dramatically simplifying the tax code, with lower rates, making it easier for more Americans to get ahead.
