While I'm disappointed Democrats needlessly held it up for more than a year, I'm proud to have helped get the USMCA across the finish line so it can finally bring more jobs, higher wages and greater opportunities to hardworking Louisianians.\nLouisiana heavily relies upon a vibrant trading relationship with Canada and Mexico. Last year alone, our state exported $12.7 billion in goods to these nations. The USMCA builds upon this success by expanding market access and modernizing our trading relationship with Canada and Mexico in a way that is favorable to Louisiana businesses and workers.  \n\t  \n\tIt's a shame House Democrats have used the vital reforms provided by the USMCA as a political prop in their larger impeachment charade. Americans' success should never be used as leverage for the benefit of the Democrat majority's political agenda.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://mikejohnson.house.gov/media/press-releases/johnson-statement-usmca-approval"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9593670256435871, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
