Without renewal, these tax credits will expire at the end of the year and families will pay double for their health insurance premiums in 2026:\n\n\u201cAcross our country, American families are being squeezed by higher grocery prices, utility bills, and even soaring costs for holiday gifts. Now, Speaker Johnson has announced he\u2019s delivering the policy equivalent of a sack of coal for Christmas. Republican leadership\u2019s refusal to work across the aisle to extend these credits means millions of families will pay double for their health care premiums next year. This isn\u2019t just bad policy. It\u2019s cruel.
