This legislation was introduced by U.S. Representatives Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D. (IA-01), Abigail Spanberger (VA-07) Larry Bucshon, M.D. (IN-08), Annie Kuster (NH-02), Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08), and Bill Johnson (OH-06). The legislation directs the Secretary of Commerce to conduct a study on the feasibility of manufacturing more goods in the United States, in particular, products that are key to our critical infrastructure sectors.\n\n\u201cI am proud that my bipartisan bill \u2018The Critical Infrastructure Manufacturing Feasibility Act\u2019 passed out of the Energy and Commerce Committee this week and moves one step closer to floor action and passage through the House. This important bill not only protects the United States from global supply chain issues, but it also determines which rural communities are best suited to manufacture products right here in America,\u201d said Miller-Meeks. \u201cI thank my colleagues for joining me in introducing this important legislation that ensures that we are manufacturing more goods in the United States.\u201d\n\n\u201cTo strengthen our national security, we must eliminate our dependence on supply chains in China.
