The appropriations bills included in this CR, prevent a \u2018Christmas omnibus\u2019 spending debacle, but most importantly, the bills ensure that Americans don\u2019t face the real costs and pains associated with a government shutdown, especially so close to Christmas. I applaud my colleagues on our work this evening, but we must remember that we still have work to do.
