This updated agreement is a victory for all Americans and demonstrates what can be accomplished when Democrats and Republicans put partisan politics aside and work together for the American people.\n\nIn my home state of Michigan, thousands of jobs are supported by agriculture, and the USMCA will ensure greater market access for exports important to Michigan farmers. Michiganders also know the importance of manufacturing jobs in our state, especially in the automotive sector, and the USMCA will support these industries by requiring new labor standards across North America.\n\nFor far too long American workers have suffered from NAFTA's outdated policies and the USMCA is a massive improvement over NAFTA in every way.
