This is the kind of common-sense legislation we should all be able to get behind.\u201d\n\nThe Healthy MOM Act would address gaps in care and coverage by:\n\nCreating a special enrollment period (SEP) in the ACA marketplaces and commercial insurance plans for pregnant individuals once pregnancy is reported, allowing them to enroll in or change plans without waiting for the annual open enrollment period.\n\nAuthorizing the Office of Personnel Management to establish a pregnancy SEP for those covered by the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, including ensuring access to the SEP even during a government shutdown or lapse in appropriations.\n\nEnsuring comprehensive maternity coverage, including labor and delivery, for dependents covered by group health plans and employer-sponsored insurance.\n\nProtecting Medicaid eligibility for low-income pregnant individuals, safeguarding access to care while preventing efforts to weaken income eligibility requirements.\n\nGuaranteeing 12 months of continuous Medicaid coverage postpartum, ensuring that new mothers have uninterrupted access to critical care after giving birth.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-06T19:52:45Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://moulton.house.gov/news/press-releases/moulton-joins-original-cosponsor-healthy-mom-act-expand-health-coverage"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9519979357719421, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
