These funds will provide vital resources for New Jersey\u2019s families and communities.\n\n\u201cThe coronavirus pandemic has devastated families and communities across the nation in so many different ways,\u201d said Congressman Norcross. \u201cThe State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds in the American Rescue Plan will provide states and localities access to $350 billion in flexible relief funds to help struggling households and businesses build back better from the pandemic.\u201d\n\nNew Jersey will receive roughly $10 billion from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, including $241.52 million for Camden, Burlington and Gloucester Counties.\n\nCamden County \u2013 $98,376,054\n\nBurlington County \u2013 $86,503,822\n\nGloucester County \u2013 $56,646,874\n\nThe Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds provide substantial flexibility to meet local needs. In addition to allowing for flexible spending up to the level of their revenue loss, recipients can use funds to:\n\nSupport public health expenditures;\n\nAddress negative economic impacts caused by the public health emergency;\n\nAid the communities and populations hardest hit by the crisis;\n\nProvide premium pay for essential workers; and\n\nInvest in water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure.\n\nCongressman Norcross added: \u201cI\u2019m committed to protecting the lives and livelihoods of South Jersey families and all Americans, and the American Rescue Plan funding released this week will help ensure a strong and equitable recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
