The EOC upgrades include new equipment and computer systems to better track emergencies in real time and enhanced 9-1-1 communications tools to support the Borough\u2019s first responders during emergencies and natural disasters.\n\n\u201cThese upgrades are essential to keeping South Plainfield safe,\u201d said Pallone. \u201cThe funding I\u2019ve delivered will update badly outdated communications equipment that\u2019s been used for over 20 years and ensures the Borough\u2019s first responders have the tools they need to handle crises effectively and protect the community.
