The grants will reimburse Carteret for repairs to public housing, while the Middlesex County grant will defray the cost of repairs and effective mitigation to protect the Edison Pump Station.\n\u201cGrants like these provide much-needed financial relief to our local governments as communities continue to recover from Sandy by repairing housing and infrastructure,\u201d said Congressman Pallone. \u201cNew Jerseyans have shown tremendous determination and resilience and I am pleased to see FEMA assisting New Jersey with this much needed work.\u201d\nIn 2013, Congressman Pallone helped pass the Superstorm Sandy Supplemental Appropriations bill, bringing the total Sandy aid enacted by Congress to $60.2 billion. The funding package included federal aid to help homeowners, businesses, and communities recover, and resources to rebuild coastal, transportation, and water infrastructure.
