Pappas introduced this legislation alongside Congressman Morgan Luttrell (TX-08).\n\nThe Veterans\u2019 Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act (COLA) of 2024 would increase the rates of compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities, as well as the rates of dependency and indemnity compensation for the survivors of certain veterans as of December 1, 2024. The increase in VA benefits would equal the cost-of-living increase provided for certain Social Security benefits.\n\n\u201cWe have no more solemn obligation as Americans than to ensure the needs of our veterans and their families are met,\u201d said Congressman Pappas. \u201cI\u2019m honored to partner with Congressman Luttrell on this critically important bipartisan piece of legislation to ensure veterans\u2019 benefits keep pace with our changing economy.
