This included $9,971,896 in Public Housing Repair grant funding to improve and modernize public housing stock in the Granite State, specifically $1,242,914 for the Portsmouth Housing Authority.\n\n\u201cAddressing New Hampshire\u2019s housing challenges requires an all-hands-on-deck approach, so it\u2019s critical we work together across all levels of government and listen to the needs of local communities,\u201d said Congressman Pappas. \u201cToday I toured apartments with the Portsmouth Housing Authority which are providing safe and affordable housing options to low-income families. I\u2019ll continue to support resources that grow our affordable housing supply and ensure Granite Staters have a roof over their head and a safe place to sleep.\u201d\n\n\u201cIt was a pleasure to show Congressman Pappas how federal funding contributes to the upgrades to our older properties by making them more energy efficient and improving accessibility for seniors so they are able to age in place for as long as possible.
