These crashes are currently under investigation.\n\nTwo separate single-engine aircraft made emergency landings on local roads in the Orlando area due to engine failures. Another crash involving a small plane in Pensacola is also under investigation. All three incidents resulted in no fatalities.\n\nDespite these incidents, general aviation accident rates fell by 11% over the past year and are now at their lowest level in decades. Aviation remains the safest mode of transportation.\n\n\u201cAs a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I am working with the Department of Transportation and the National Transportation Safety Board to understand these crashes,\u201d said Congressman Patronis. \u201cI am glad that no one was killed; this could have been a total disaster.
