Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) released the following statement about the tax extender package that passed in the U.S. House of Representatives:\r\r\tThe tax extenders package included several provisions important to Colorado families and local businesses including, the Research & Development Credit, a deduction for teachers for classroom expenses, and an extension of the wind energy production tax credit. However, passing retroactive tax legislation is no way to run a government or a business. Just like it is time for comprehensive immigration reform; it is also time for comprehensive tax reform. Congress must work harder to ensure businesses and families have certainty and predictability for the long-term.\"\r\r\t###\r\r\n    \r\n  \r\n  \r\n  \r\n    \r\n      f \r\n      t \r\n      #\r\n      e", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://perlmutter.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=1123"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.7670768536627293, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
