In Rockland, an aging fish pier that\u2019s vital to the working waterfront will get a much-needed upgrade. Funding will also allow businesses at the Winslow Business Park to expand and create new jobs,\u201d said Pingree. \u00a0\u201cThe Northern Border Regional Commission continues to be a critical source of economic development and infrastructure funding in Maine, which is why I am helping lead efforts in Congress to reauthorize this program.\u201d\u00a0\nCreated by Congress in 2008, the Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) is a Federal-State partnership whose mission is to help alleviate economic distress throughout the northern counties of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York.\u00a0\nPingree is a lead cosponsor of a bill recently introduced by New Hampshire Congresswoman Annie Kuster to extend the NBRC\u2019s authorization by five years.\n Local Grant Details \nWinslow\u2014$300,000  \n\tA 1,500-foot left turning lane to the Winslow Business Park will be constructed.  \n\tThis lane is required by Maine Department of Transportation before two  \n\tcompanies in Business Park, which plan to create a total of 110 new  \n\tpositions, are allowed to expand.\nRockland\u2014$350,000  \n\tThe city\u2019s fish pier will be renovated to better serve current fishing activities  \n\tand boat pier will be expanded to serve the growing cruise ship activity.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://pingree.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/650000-federal-infrastructure-grants-coming-winslow-and-rockland"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.7968749850988388, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
