We just spent the last week voting on a holiday giveaway to the wealthy when we should have been working out a way to reliably meet the countrys real needs in the year ahead. This short-term CR leaves inadequate resources to address many pressing issues, including the opioid epidemic, a funding shortfall at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and protecting the nations environmental health.  \n\t  \n\tWe shouldnt be going home when so many Americans have been waiting on Congress for months to pass the bipartisan DREAM Act and long-term reauthorizations of vital initiatives like the Childrens Health Insurance Program and Community Health Centers.
