Particularly heartbreaking is how difficult it can be for them to participate in the sports and activities they used to enjoy,\u201d said Pingree. \u00a0\u201cLuckily, there are organizations in Maine committed to accommodating disabled veterans\u2019 needs so they don\u2019t have to give these hobbies up. In many ways, these adaptive sports can boost a disabled veteran\u2019s physical and mental wellbeing.
