Plaskett shared the following statement on the additional extension of the St. John Land Exchange public comment period:\n\n\u201cOn April 27, 2023, the National Park Service released responses to the 400 comments received during the January 8, 2023, through March 15, 2023, public comment period on the proposed St. John Land Exchange Notice of Realty Action. Given the engagement of the community, the National Park Service announced an additional 45-day public comment period on the proposed St. John Land Exchange, which will be open through June 9, 2023.\n\n\u201cI appreciate the active engagement of the Virgin Islands community and particularly the residents of St. John, which has been invaluable to the process. I highly encourage individuals who have not previously submitted comments to do so.
