(September 22, 2018) - On Saturday, September 22, 2018, Congressman David Price (D-N.C.), the sole appropriator from the North Carolina delegation on the House Appropriations Committee,released the following statement on the inclusion of $1.68 billion in disaster relief in the Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill:\nI'm pleased to work with my colleagues in the North Carolina delegation and with Governor Cooper to secure this disaster relief funding to help North Carolinians begin the work of rebuilding in the wake of Hurricane Florence.\nWhile it's clear additional funding will be required to meet the needs of the many communities still reeling from this storm, this funding, once enacted into law, will be a significant down payment that will help millions of residents in North Carolina and elsewhere recover from recent disasters. I will continue working with my colleagues and the Appropriations Committee to secure additional funding to support recovery efforts in our state.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://price.house.gov/newsroom/press-releases/congressman-price-issues-statement-disaster-relief-funding-faa"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9744679555296898, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
