In his capacity as Chairman of the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development(T-HUD)Subcommittee, Representative Price helped secure this funding.\nUnemployment rates remain stubbornly high and COVID-19 is still endangering our communities. Many families in North Carolina are struggling to pay rent while small businesses have been forced to adapt to stay viable, said Chairman David Price. These flexible CARES Act CDBG resources will help our communities and our state respond to the pandemic and can be used for a variety of purposes, including rental assistance, small business support, and public facility improvements. As T-HUD Chairman, I'll continue pressing for additional resources to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 especially for vulnerable communities that need it most.\nThisfundingwas appropriated inthe CARES Act andis the third and finalinstallment totaling nearly $2 billion in supplemental CDBG fundsto statesand localities. As directed by Congress, communities with high rates of job loss as well as communities with households most at risk for COVID-19 transmission and eviction received a larger share of the funds.\nA breakdown ofthis round of CDBGfunding allocated to communities in North Carolinacan be found below:\n\t\t\t\tCity/County\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\tAmount\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tAsheville\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$889,456 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tBurlington\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$344,077 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tCary\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$720,175 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tChapel Hill\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$290,902 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tCharlotte\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$4,919,487 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tConcord\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$604,865 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tDurham\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$1,513,616 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tFayetteville\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$943,468 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tGastonia\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$484,878 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tGoldsboro\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$220,749 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tGreensboro\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$1,611,310 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tGreenville\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$589,258 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tHickory\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$274,226 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tHigh Point\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$588,651 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tJacksonville\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$310,803 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tKannapolis\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$264,857 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tLenoir\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$88,397 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tMorganton\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$106,060 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tNew Bern city\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$194,483 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tRaleigh\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$2,672,436 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tRocky Mount\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$328,242 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tSalisbury\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$200,221 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tWilmington\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$883,609 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tWinston-Salem\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$1,375,863 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tCumberland County\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$435,210 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tMecklenburg County\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$857,608 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tUnion County\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$539,180 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tWake County\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$1,619,695 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tNC Non-entitlement\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$23,037,981 \n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\tTotal\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t$46,909,763", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://price.house.gov/newsroom/press-releases/price-announces-46-million-cares-act-community-development-block-grant-funds"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8934852667152882, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
