We also learned that a 20-year-old Haitian immigrant, Pierre Damas Bel, took his own life in Springfield, Ohio, after the Trump Administration ended TPS for Haitians and fitted him with an ankle monitor.\n\nOur communities are still being surveilled, our children still terrorized, and our neighbors are still dying at the hands of DHS. DHS is the biggest threat to our collective safety, and we must stand strong against any attempt to expand or extend its funding.
