Larry Hogan urging the state to work with stakeholders to protect Maryland\u2019s unique, innovative and effective health care model. The Members of Congress underscored that the state is at risk of failing to meet its contractual obligations to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).\n\n\u201cWe write to express our concern that the state is projected to fail three of the six targets of the Maryland Total Cost of Care (TCOC) Model in calendar year (CY) 2022,\u201d the members wrote. \u201cAs you know, the model has been a crucial part of our state\u2019s health care system, especially through the COVID-19 pandemic, providing much needed financial stability to health care providers while incentivizing addressing population health to drive better health outcomes for Marylanders.
