Tom Reed announced FEMA has approved $1.2 million in disaster funding following the 2009 and 2014 storms which ravaged Perrysburg.\r\nWhen our office was notified of this ridiculous delay we immediately got in contact with FEMA in order to figure out what exactly was going on, Tom said. We care about providing disaster relief and this bureaucratic delay was not fair for the hard-working people of Perrysburg and the Seneca nation.\r\nThe Town of Perrysburg would like to thank Tom and his Staff for their assistance with helping us secure approval for the repair of Prospect Street and keeping this project on track, Town of Perrysburg Supervisor Jennifer Dabolt said. The $1.2M project will rebuild a section of the road and repair damage caused by Cattaraugus Creek flooding in 2014. This is a main corridor in the area with a travel volume of over 2,000 vehicles per day and a primary access road for over 100 homes.\r\nIt is reassuring to know that a small Town can still call on our Congressman for help and have faith that our concerns will be addressed in a timely manner, Dabolt concluded.\r\nThis disaster funding approval follows an almost decade long saga where145 families and Gowanda Central School were threatened to be landlocked due to road damage. Due to this damage, fire trucks and ambulances would have to divert several miles out of the way to get to the emergency.\r\n    \r\n  \r\n  \r\n  \r\n    \r\n      f \r\n      t \r\n      #\r\n      e", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://reed.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=1603"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8437563665211201, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
