Cedric Richmond (LA-02) announced the availability of millions in federal funding for the Baker School System and the City of Baton Rouge. The Baker School System will receive $3.9 million for cleaning, damage removal and sanitization of school buildings impacted by the flooding and Baton Rouge will receive $2.9 million for performing emergency protective measures as a result of severe storms and flooding:\n\u201cSoutheastern Louisiana has suffered through some of the worst flooding in our nation\u2019s history,\u201d said Rep. Richmond.\u00a0 \u201cAs a result, many families, school districts, and businesses are still struggling to get back on their feet. These important resources from FEMA are evidence that we are not alone in that struggle.
