Richmond. \u201cHis budget decimates community block grants that assist people find quality housing, eliminate urban blight, and play an important role in disaster recovery.\n\n\u201cIt limits access to higher education and prevents our young people from climbing the economic ladder by severely cutting financial aid for kids attempting to go to college.\n\n\u201cIt slashes TIGER Grants that we need to develop our infrastructure and it places more of a burden on flood insurance policyholders. It outright eliminates funding that our state, parish, and city governments rely on, which will only make their budget situations worse.\n\n\u201cA budget is much more than numbers on a page, it is a moral document that reveals your priorities. With this budget, the President has made it clear that our state\u2019s well-being is not high on his list.
