Congressman Riley M. Moore voted \u201cYes\u201d on the legislation.\n\nThe House had previously passed a similar version of the bill, with Congressman Moore\u2019s support, in February.\n\n\"Fentanyl has claimed thousands of lives in West Virginia, and the crisis continues to present major challenges for officials on the ground,\u201d said Congressman Moore. \u201cThe HALT Fentanyl Act will close a deadly loophole in existing law, and in turn, our justice system will be empowered to aggressively prosecute those who are responsible for poisoning our communities.
