Barbara Comstock (R-Va.), which requires all members and staff within the U.S. House of Representatives to complete anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training during each session of Congress. The House adopted H. Res. 630 this afternoon.\r\n\r\nDavis serves on the House Administration Committee, which continues to work to address sexual harassment prevention in the House. The committee held its first hearing, Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Congressional Workplace, on November 14 and plans to hold a second hearing examining this issue next week. Text of Davis\u2019 written remarks is as follows: Today I rise in support of H Res 630, a resolution requiring all Members and staff to complete anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training during each session of Congress.\r\n\u00a0\r\nI would like to thank Speaker Ryan for announcing this policy change in the House. And to thank my friend and colleague on the House Administration Committee, Barbara Comstock, for introducing this important resolution.\u00a0\u00a0\r\n\u00a0\r\nNo one should have to worry about sexual harassment when they come to work.\r\n\u00a0\r\nAs a former staffer and someone with a female-led office, I believe this resolution is an important first step in addressing this problem as we work to increase professionalism in the House and establish a workplace that is grounded in respect.\r\n\u00a0\r\nIn Congress, we\u2019ve got to lead by example.\r\n\u00a0\r\nAs a member of the House Administration Committee, we worked hard to pass reforms last Congress to make House office spending more transparent and accountable than any other area of the federal government and I am confident in this committee\u2019s ability to address this important issue in a bipartisan way.\r\n\u00a0\r\nI look forward to the continued hearings the committee will have on this issue as we work to institute policies that protect staffers against sexual harassment and also ensure female staffers are provided leadership opportunities.\r\n\u00a0\r\nI urge my colleagues to support this important resolution.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://rodneydavis.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=399544"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.524337800219655, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
