I got to know Larry over the years serving on the Transportation & Infrastructure committee in the House and recently as ranking member of the Highways & Transit subcommittee this Congress.\r\n\r\nLarry was always a strong advocate for his members. Most recently, I saw his advocacy first-hand as he fought to protect the health of his members by ensuring they had access to PPE during the pandemic. As a pro-Davis-Bacon Republican, I always appreciated Larry's insight on those issues and other policy areas affecting the men and women of labor.\r\n\r\nLarry was truly a great guy, and I can't imagine what his family must be going through during this difficult time. Shannon, our kids, and I send our condolences to Larry's family as they mourn his loss.\r\n\r\n###\r\n    \r\n  \r\n  \r\n  \r\n    \r\n      f \r\n      t \r\n      #\r\n      e", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://rodneydavis.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=403929"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.7429588586091995, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
