I voted for this tax cut in the American Rescue Plan and will continue working with my colleagues to make it permanent. It\u2019s past time that we give families in Wake County the support they need and make real investments in the next generation.\u201d\n\nAccording to a report released by the U.S. Joint Economic Committee, 1,184,000 monthly payments went to families across North Carolina in August for a total of $499 million.
