However, continuing resolutions  like the bill we passed today  disenfranchise voters and deprive their representatives the ability to make tough choices about our spending priorities and make necessary changes to important government programs. For example, earlier this year the House passed a much needed military appropriations package that sufficiently provides military resources vital to improving and restoring the readiness of our Armed Forces.
