All three students are high school seniors at Hill Country College Preparatory High School of Comal ISD. \u201cAmerican Dynamism\u201d measures progress of the United States in critical sectors such as defense technology and workforce innovation by scanning RSS news feeds and classifying articles.\n\n\u201cIn order to make sure American safety and prosperity remains secure, we need to encourage innovation, whether from builders in their garage or defense giants like Lockheed. The good news: that movement is already underway. It's called \u2018American Dynamism,\u2019\u201d stated the app\u2019s creators.\n\nCongressman Roy recognizes the timeliness of this app\u2019s release with the comeback of our national industries. The students further noted, \u201cFor the first time in decades, start-ups are once again winning defense contracts, small innovators are making an impact and people are excited to contribute to the national interest.\u201d\n\nThe second-place winner of the TX-21 Congressional App Challenge is Ms. Surina Mitra with her app titled \u201cCureosity.\u201d She is a sophomore student at Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio.\n\nMs. Mitra explains,\u201cMy app, Cureosity, helps elderly cancer patients by breaking down complex medical topics into clear, easy-to-understand summaries written at a middle-school reading level.
