These federal funds will help more families in the Baltimore area access Head Start programs, which have a proven track record of narrowing educational and economic gaps in our society. We will keep fighting for federal investments in Maryland's early childhood education system to ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed.\nAwards include $1,723,642 in new funding for the Y of Central Maryland and $1,086,106 in continuation funding for the Community Action Council of Howard County.
