Steve Russell continued to highlight local health centers providing quality care for Oklahomans at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Southern Oaks Learning and Wellness Center in Oklahoma City.\r\nAccessibility to health care is one of the biggest obstacles many people in our community face, Russell said. Providing medical services and teaching people how to live healthy lives are two invaluable tools to promote health and wellness in our community.\r\nRussell attended the grand opening for the Oklahoma City-County South Oaks Learning and Wellness Center, a 25,000 square-foot facility providing health care for those living in the zip code with the lowest health outcomes in Oklahoma City.\r\nSouthern Oaks Learning and Wellness Center will provide a broad array of services, improve the quality of health care and meet the needs of Oklahomans.\r\nThe center will offer clinical services like immunizations, women's health services and community health services and will also be home to a training kitchen which teach individuals how to cook nutritious meals on a limited budget. The center will also provide a recreation element, including a walking trail and sports fields.\r\nFinding solutions to provide accessible, affordable healthcare is one of our biggest challenges in Congress but I am confident these health centers put us on the right track, Russell said. We appreciate the hard work of so many such as Gary Cox, former Councilman Pete White, Mayor Holt, Erika Lucas and those at the Oklahoma County Health Department. Local health centers like Southern Oaks are essential to expand options and provide quality care for Oklahomans. I am glad to see this center open its doors today and am looking forward to continuing my work to improve health care for our community.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://russell.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=643"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9552068077027798, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
