Steve Russell participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Kratos Defense & Security's newest aircraft production facility in Oklahoma City. \r\nKratos is a company that's always innovating and producing cutting-edge technology for our military, Russell said. Their vision and expertise in unmanned aerial systems will allow our warriors to have the most effective tools they need to keep our country safe.\r\nKratos is the industry leader in high-performance, low-cost jet aerial target systems supporting the U.S. military, including the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Army. The company provides advanced aircraft products to protect national security, all at an affordable cost.\r\nOklahoma City's 100,000 square-foot facility will produce high performance, unmanned aerial drone systems for tactical and target threat representation purposes. Kratos selected Oklahoma because of the state's patriotism and motivated workforce. Led by Russell, other members of the Oklahoma congressional delegation, including U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, also encouraged the company to select Oklahoma for its newest facility.\r\nKratos expects to hire at least 350 employees from Oklahoma over the next five years.\r\nI am glad Kratos recognizes the value of Oklahoma and the Fifth District.
