The grant funds will be used to help island students attend three-week summer school leadership programs at Stanford or Georgetown Universities or the Diplomat Program in Shanghai. Funding will also go to JSA's one-week Academic Preparation &amp; Community Project Boot Camp in the insular areas. Congress appropriated $20.8 million for OIA's Technical Assistance Program this year, holding funding steady to provide grants for short-term, non-capital projects that foster development in the insular areas.
