The City of Dundee, through Oregon\u2019s Parks and Recreation Department, will utilize this grant to complete the development of Tipsu Palach Park including the construction of a restroom building, concrete walkway, picnic shelter, overhead canopies, tables and benches, bike work-station, water fill station, water garden, landscaping, and interpretive signage.\n\n\u201cWhen we invest in our local parks, we invest in the quality of life for the entire community,\u201d said Rep. Salinas. \u201cThe National Park Service\u2019s grant to Dundee\u2019s Tipsu Palach Park will ensure its successful completion with high-quality amenities for all to enjoy. The park\u2019s name, derived from the Grand Ronde\u2019s spoken Chinuk Wawa language, means plant gift \u2013 and it\u2019s certainly true that this park will be a gift to all, from our local flora and fauna to the many thousands of individuals who will enjoy it for years to come. I cannot wait to visit this historic park, a living embodiment of the deep bond between the City of Dundee and the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.\u201d\n\nThe National Park Service\u2019s investment will directly benefit the 3,300 people who call Dundee home, as well as the 27,500 individuals who reside in the Chehalem Parks District.
